Rebecca Leaf—an experienced labor lawyer and former senior trial attorney at the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB)—has rejoined Ballard Spahr’s Litigation Department and Labor and Employment Group as of counsel, firm Chair Peter V. Michaud announced today. She is resident in the firm’s Baltimore office.
“Rebecca’s depth and breadth of experience make her a very welcome addition to our team,” said Labor and Employment Practice Group Leader Denise M. Keyser. “The knowledge and experience she gained during eight years at the NLRB, coupled with her understanding of our clients’ businesses and our firm culture, make her an invaluable asset to our clients. We’re excited to welcome her back.”
Rebecca represents public and private employers in a range of traditional labor matters. She helps clients with day-to-day labor issues and grievance processing, labor arbitrations, and unfair labor practice hearings. She has served as lead negotiator in collective bargaining negotiations and works strategically with clients on union representation matters. Rebecca also helps clients with employment matters, advising on matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour laws.
“Ballard’s Labor and Employment team is among the best in the industry,” Rebecca said. “They represent clients in challenging and sophisticated labor matters, and the culture is collaborative and client-focused. I’m excited to bring my experience to new and existing clients and work with this exceptional team again.”
