
Andrea Stone is an intellectual property attorney with over 15 years of experience delivering trusted legal advice to clients in multiple industries, as both in-house and outside counsel. Andrea focuses her practice on intellectual property, privacy and data security, litigation, complex commercial contracting, and regulatory compliance matters.
Prior to joining Ballard Spahr, Andrea was associate general counsel at Vitalant, one of the nation’s largest nonprofit blood and biotherapies health care organizations. In this position, Andrea managed the company’s patent, trademark, and domain name portfolios, including freedom to operate, brand clearance, strategic intellectual property protection, enforcement, licensing, and litigation. Andrea also advised on issues related to data privacy, cybersecurity, digital marketing, and advertising compliance.

- False advertising, unfair competition, and trade disparagement case regarding competing nutritional supplements.
