Robert Gutierrez Joins Los Angeles Copyright Society Board of Trustees

Ballard Spahr Media and Entertainment Law attorney Robert S. Gutierrez has been named to the Board of Trustees for the Los Angeles Copyright Society.

In his practice, Mr. Gutierrez regularly defends clients across the entertainment and publishing industries in contract, IP ownership, and music royalty disputes; idea submission and right of publicity claims; and in cases alleging copyright infringement, trademark infringement, trade secret violations, defamation, invasion of privacy, unfair competition, and fraud. He also provides title opinions, chain of title analysis and clearance reviews of books, screenplays, documentaries, podcasts, television shows and films on issues pertaining to defamation, trademark and copyright infringement, and privacy and publicity rights.

The Los Angeles Copyright Society is a members-only organization of attorneys who practice in copyright, trademark, communications, and related areas. Its members include outside lawyers, lawyers at motion picture studios, media companies, and other corporations and entities dealing with intellectual property.
