Ballard Spahr Helps ClimeCo Establish Collaborative Effort to Accelerate Decarbonization in Shipping

Ballard Spahr represented ClimeCo LLC in its collaboration with Marsoft Inc., which will expand the range and value of Marsoft’s GreenScreen carbon credit services.
ClimeCo is a respected global advisor, transaction facilitator, trader, and developer of environmental commodity market products, projects, and related services. The company specializes in voluntary carbon, regulated carbon, renewable energy credits, plastics credits, and regional criteria pollutant trading programs. Marsoft is a leading maritime consultancy and a founding member of the Blue Sky Maritime Coalition, which has the mission of accelerating the decarbonization of North American waterborne trade.
The partnership between ClimeCo and Marsoft will make carbon credits part of the industry-wide solution to the challenge of decarbonization. Together, ClimeCo and Marsoft will provide ship owners with an opportunity to reduce their CO2 emissions at minimum cost and maximum revenue potential.
