FOIA Lawsuit Helps NPR Report On "Barbaric" and "Negligent" Conditions in ICE Detention Facilities

Writing in the Media Law Resource Center's MediaLawLetter, Maxwell S. Mishkin, Emmy Parsons, and David J. Bodney detailed how they helped NPR use the Freedom of Information Act to obtain records about deplorable conditions in ICE detention facilities. In finding for NPR, the court compared the government's argument to "a game of Mad Libs."
