Isabella Salomão Nascimento is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department with a focus on media and entertainment law. She also works on commercial litigation matters. Her First Amendment-based practice includes defending against libel/defamation, invasion of privacy, and right of publicity claims across the country; prepublication vetting of both news and entertainment content; advising and defending clients on subpoenas and privilege issues; and providing guidance on state public records laws. Isabella is currently licensed to practice in both Minnesota and New York, and has been admitted to practice in several federal courts across the country.
Prior to joining the firm, Isabella worked for two years as a staff attorney at the American Civil Liberties Union of Minnesota, where she litigated constitutional law and civil rights cases, several of which were class actions and which involved issues of First Amendment, government transparency and accountability, and public access to data. She has experience drafting and editing legal briefs, court orders, and published and unpublished judicial opinions, as well as arguing in court.
