Jeffrey C. Morgan is a trial lawyer with a national litigation practice, focusing on intellectual property litigation and other complex civil litigation matters. He handles patent, trademark, and copyright infringement and trade secret misappropriation matters across an array of industries and technologies, including computer networks, mobile networks, semiconductors, and software.
Jeff’s clients range from start-ups and emerging companies to Fortune 100 organizations. Prior to joining Ballard Spahr’s Atlanta office, he was a partner at an Am Law 100 law firm. He has also previously served as an Assistant District Attorney for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and a Special Assistant Attorney General for the state of Georgia.

- Represents clients in complex civil litigation across multiple industries, technologies, and venues, with a focus on intellectual property litigation (patent, trademark, copyright infringement, and trade secret misappropriation matters). He is also experienced with civil RICO, fraud, breach of contract, and entertainment law cases, as well as other commercial disputes.
- Successfully argued before various trial courts and Courts of Appeal, tried jury cases to verdicts, and devised litigation strategy and budgets for complex litigation cases to maximize client value.
- Served as first- and second-chair trial counsel in numerous complex litigation matters, including patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret, and breach of contract actions in federal and state courts across the country.
