Peter V. Michaud spoke to American Lawyer Media about the career path that led to him becoming Chair of Ballard Spahr.

"A successful law firm leader needs to support entrepreneurial attorneys at the practice level while at the same time, advancing the firm as a whole in accordance with its strategic priorities," Peter told the reporter. "A firm can’t be all things to all people. You need to have a defined strategy, and you have to work that strategy over time—without being afraid to make modifications. You need transparency so that everyone understands the goal and can work together to reach it."
