Four from Ballard Spahr Named to Minnesota Lawyer's Power 30: M&A

Four Ballard Spahr attorneys have been named to Minnesota Lawyer’s 2024 Power 30: M&A list.

To compile its editorial-selected list, Minnesota Lawyer interviewed attorneys and other leaders around the state, reviewed outcomes of significant matters, and consulted its own archives to highlight people whose achievements and influence are of special note.

The four Ballard Spahr attorneys are:

• Barbara Lano Rummel: Ms. Rummel co-leads the firm's Mergers and Acquisitions practice group and serves on the firm's Senior Leadership Team and Elected Board. She advises public and private companies, particularly in the life sciences industry, on M&A, joint venture and licensing transactions.
• Maggie M. Tatton: Ms. Tatton co-leads Ballard Spahr’s Private Equity Group. She represents private and public companies and private equity funds in mergers, acquisitions, sales, and other strategic business transactions, including joint ventures, minority investments, roll-ups, and carve-out transactions
• Robert E. Tunheim: Mr. Tunheim represents clients in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance transactions, and general business matters. His mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance work includes handling control transactions, minority investments, mezzanine financing transactions, and corporate restructurings
• Neal K. Rasmussen: Mr. Rasmussen advises private and public companies and private equity funds on mergers and acquisitions, entity formation, corporate governance, divestitures, and general contract matters. He is part of the leadership of the firm’s Corporate Transparency Act Task Force.
