Biden's AI Order Shows GCs That Regulators Are Watching

Greg Szewczyk spoke to Law360 about how companies and their in-house legal teams should respond to President Biden's Oct. 30 executive order on artificial intelligence (AI).

One of Mr. Szewczyk's recommendations? Companies need to determine how, when, and where their workers are using AI.

"It's having real-world implications for corporate counsel on contractual issues already," he said. "I think that's just one area where—even for companies who are not heavy in AI—it's probably impacting them or likely to very soon."

Mr. Szewczyk co-leads Ballard Spahr's Privacy and Data Security Group and is a member of its Artificial Intelligence Initiative.
