Ballard Spahr represented Greystone, a leading commercial real estate lending, investment, and advisory company, in the acquisition of Dallas-based C-III Asset Management LLC (C3AM). C3AM was previously a wholly owned subsidiary of New York-based C-III Capital Partners LLC. It has a $20.7 billion servicing portfolio.
New York-based Greystone has been an active commercial lender and servicer for over 30 years. The acquisition of C3AM expands its capabilities into special servicing and increases its loan servicing portfolio to approximately $60 billion in multifamily and health care mortgages.
The Ballard Spahr team was led by Business and Transactions Partner Barbara Lano Rummel in Minneapolis. It included Special Counsel James P Cooke in Washington, D.C. and Ballard Spahr’s nationally recognized Finance team.
The 180 Business and Transactions attorneys at Ballard Spahr work with clients of all sizes and stages of maturity to negotiate, structure, and complete transactions that improve competitive position, add value, and sustain growth. By combining the M&A and Finance team, Ballard Spahr provided industry-tailored service to Greystone.
“I’m pleased that, as a firm, we have the bench strength and depth of talent to offer customized solutions like this to our valued clients,” Ms. Rummel said.
