Ballard Spahr has been ranked as a top law firm for client service by BTI Consulting, a leading provider of strategic research in the legal industry.
In the BTI Client Service A-Team 2020 report, the firm earned a Distinguished ranking in the new Wild Card category, which measures skill in dealing with complex matters and ability to consistently deliver a high-quality experience to clients. Ballard Spahr is one of only 30 U.S. firms to garner a Distinguished ranking. Rankings are based on interviews with hundreds of legal decision makers at companies and organizations with annual revenues in the billions.
Ballard Spahr also earned Standout rankings in the four other categories:
- Client Investment – commitment to help, client focus, understanding of client's business, and ability to provide value
- Client Infrastructure – legal skills, quality products, meeting core scope, ability to respond to problems and unexpected changes, and keeping clients informed
- Client Magnets – ability to anticipate client needs and innovate
- Client Communication – skill in advising on business issues, use of national resources, and level of unprompted communication
In the past year, Ballard Spahr also ranked highly in the BTI Power Rankings 2019: Client Relationship Scorecard. The firm earned the ranking of Contender—one of only 45 U.S. firms with the potential to build market dominance based on the strength of its client relationships.
BTI has also recognized Ballard Spahr in its Legal Innovation and Technology Outlook Report for the firm's use of technology, and for top brand recognition in its Brand Elite Report. Ballard Spahr has invested significantly in its Client Value and Innovation Program, which provides clients with value-based pricing, matter management, and technology solutions tailored to meet their needs.
"This recognition is a reflection of our ever-deepening commitment to understanding our clients' needs and providing exceptional service," said firm Chair Mark S. Stewart. "It tells us that clients value our commitment and the work we are doing to fulfill it."
