Juan Pereira has well over a decade’s worth of experience representing lenders and investors in commercial real estate finance transactions, with an emphasis on multifamily housing finance transactions involving the government-sponsored enterprises (GSEs) Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Juan’s clients include some of the nation’s largest and most active commercial real estate finance firms, including Delegated Underwriting and Servicing (DUS) lenders and Optigo lenders authorized to underwrite, close, and deliver loans on Fannie Mae’s and Freddie Mac’s behalf, respectively.
Juan has successfully closed hundreds of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac financings for acquisition, renovation, and/or refinancing of multifamily facilities, including affordable housing, manufactured housing, and fractured/commercial condominiums. Juan uses his experience and strong command of the legal issues to guide clients through finance transactions structured under Fannie Mae’s DUS, MAH, DLA Mezz, and small loans products and Freddie Mac’s CME and TAH products, and has extensive Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac preferred equity experience. Juan also handles conventional construction, acquisition, renovation, and refinancing transactions.
