James Edward Mills has experience in matters across land use and development, corporate financing, federal securities, private equity, and M&A.
James formerly worked as a summer associate at Ballard Spahr. Before coming to the firm, James served in the U.S. Marine Corps as an Armor Company Executive Officer. He worked for the U.S. Office of Special Counsel while attending American University Washington College of Law, where he also served on the Law Review as senior editor. His practice focuses on land use and development, leasing, and government appeals. He is an advocate for veteran initiatives across the country.
