Kirsten Fehlan is an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Department. She has experience advising clients on federal trademark registration issues, responding to Office Actions, amending patent claims, and drafting memoranda concerning foreign damages and divided infringement. She also has experience with technology transactions issues related to software development agreements, including the DevOps and Agile frameworks, intellectual property due diligence, intellectual property licensing, non-disclosure agreements covering proprietary information and trade secrets, as well as open source software licensing and use.
While in law school, Kirsten served as a technical patent intern at the USPTO, where she examined TC 3600 business methods patent applications, drafted corresponding Office Actions, and received training on patent examination statutes and examination practices.
