Amid the hottest mergers & acquisitions market in decades, Ballard Spahr has been named a Standout in six categories in a new report from BTI Consulting Group.
In its report “The BTI M&A Outlook 2022: A Whole New World of M&A,” BTI noted a record number of companies had indicated an interest in making acquisitions and that deals of all sizes—from small private transactions to “mega deals” worth more than$5 billion—are anticipated to increase in both size and volume until early 2022.
In the categories below, Ballard Spahr was recognized as a Standout, a designation that only between 8 percent and 9 percent of top law firms receive.
- Best at Transformative Deals
- Best at Mega Deals
- Best at Difficult Deals
- Best at Deals Attracting Regulatory Scrutiny
- Best at Public Deals
- Best at Private Deals
“These results from BTI are a strong confirmation of what we already know—that clients across industries turn to us when the success of a deal is paramount,” said Ballard Spahr Strategic Planning Partner John G. Kerkorian. “It also validates the Firm’s strategic investment in, and commitment to, our M&A practices. We are fortunate to have such a strong group of M&A attorneys.”
The 110 firms in BTI’s rankings were singled out by clients with no prompts. To compile its M&A Outlook, BTI conducted 325 in-depth telephone interviews between March 2020 and July 2021. It spoke with legal decision-makers across 15 industries who were responsible for transactions. Respondents were not compensated for their involvement.
