Ballard Spahr's Kim Magrini and Sara McCormick Named to List of PA's Top Young Lawyers

Ballard Spahr's Kimberly D. Magrini and Sara A. McCormick have been named 2018 "Lawyers on the Fast Track" by The Legal Intelligencer in recognition of their professional accomplishments and service to the community and legal profession.

Lawyers on the Fast Track are Pennsylvania-based attorneys under age 40 selected based on their qualifications by a five-member panel of evaluators from the Pennsylvania legal community. Based in Ballard Spahr's Philadelphia office, Ms. Magrini and Ms. McCormick will be recognized along with their fellow honorees at an event at the Crystal Tea Room on June 27 and will be profiled in an upcoming supplement to The Legal Intelligencer, the nation's oldest daily law journal.

Ms. Magrini is a public finance attorney and member of Ballard Spahr's Public Finance Department, one of the premier public finance practices in the country, participating in the issuance of more than $1 trillion of tax-exempt obligations in every U.S. state and territory. She has experience with issues unique to Pennsylvania law and maintains a focus on disclosure issues for distressed municipalities, including pension analysis and disclosure and securities regulatory enforcement. A champion for equal pay and a former collegiate athlete, Ms. Magrini helped represent players on the U.S. Women's National Ice Hockey Team in negotiating a labor contract with its national governing body, USA Hockey, that provides fair pay and equitable support for women's and girls' programs nationwide.

Ms. McCormick is a real estate attorney who has worked on major transactions throughout the region. She focuses on commercial real estate matters, including all phases of leasing, acquisition, disposition, development, and joint venture transactions. Ballard Spahr's Real Estate Department earned Law Firm of the Year honors for Real Estate in 2016 from U.S. News & World Report – Best Lawyers. With more than 120 attorneys nationwide, the Department handles all aspects of real estate development, financing, and investment, and has participated in significant projects and transactions across the country.
