As Ballard Spahr’s Chief Engagement Officer, Kim Short develops and implements strategies to sustain and increase the commitment, integration, and satisfaction of the firm’s attorneys. By fostering strong connections, providing carefully tailored support, and designing procedures to streamline work, Kim furthers the incomparable client service for which Ballard Spahr is known.
Reporting directly to the Chair, Kim works closely with firm leadership on business strategies and procedures involving the partnership. In addition, she leads planning, coordination, and communication for the Board, the Executive Team, and the Senior Leadership Team meetings.
Before becoming Chief Engagement Officer, Kim was Ballard Spahr’s Director of Practice Management for Business and Transactions, one of the firm’s largest and most strategically important departments. She joined the firm as an associate in that department and, after almost a decade as a practicing attorney, was the firm’s Manager of Attorney Recruitment and Professional Development.
