Erin Williamson is a Litigation associate who focuses her practice on bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, and restructuring matters. Prior to joining Ballard Spahr, she worked at a premier Delaware law firm, where she represented debtors, creditors, landlords, and other parties in complex chapter 11 proceedings and out-of-court restructuring matters. She also researched and drafted pleadings such as petitions, first-day motions, applications for retention, and bidding and solicitation procedures in this role. Erin has represented clients in chapter 11 proceedings spanning a diverse range of industries, including retail, biotechnology, health care, agriculture, and solar energy.
Erin has also assisted with discovery negotiations, trial preparation, and settlement negotiations, represented receivers in Delaware Chancery Court actions, and litigated pro bono cases in the Delaware Family Court and Justice of the Peace Court.
While attending law school, Erin earned a concentration in intellectual property and gained additional experience through legal internships with the Entertainment Software Association, The Copyright Alliance, and the Institute for Intellectual Property & Social Justice.
