Robert Saavedra Teuton is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department who focuses his practice on commercial litigation and dispute resolution. Prior to joining Ballard Spahr, Robert worked at the Las Vegas office of a national law firm, where he worked on personal injury cases at all stages of litigation: pre-litigation negotiations, in the trial courts, and on appeal.
Robert also worked as a law clerk for then Chief Justice of the Arizona Supreme Court Robert M. Brutinel in 2023-2024. As the Chief’s law clerk, he worked on some of Arizona’s most difficult, high-profile, and precedent-setting cases. Prior to that clerkship, he externed for now Chief Justice of the Arizona Supreme Court Ann A. Scott Timmer.
While attending law school, Robert gained experience as a summer associate at two law firms, a law clerk at a personal injury firm, and as a legislative liaison. Prior to law school, Robert wrote, lobbied, and testified for Nevada Assembly Bill 432 (2019), which was enacted, and became Nevada’s worker cooperative statutes: NRS §§ 819.901-81.595.
