Julie Seidenstein is an experienced attorney who focuses on the commercial real estate and finance industries. She is skilled in representing institutional lenders, real estate investment companies, and real estate developers and owners in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including construction and permanent financing, leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, and development of retail, office, hospitality, multifamily, senior housing, and mixed-use properties.
Julie has a strong background in real estate finance, representing institutional lenders and finance companies with respect to construction and permanent real estate loans for a broad range of property types on a national basis. She has extensive experience in guiding clients through large scale, sophisticated real estate transactions, including the sale, acquisition, leasing, and development of commercial real estate, the origination and servicing of portfolio loans, and the drafting and negotiation of leases, loan sale agreements, loan documents, legal opinions, commercial financing transactions, joint venture agreements, and purchase and sale agreements.
Julie has particular experience in many areas of lending, including traditional balance-sheet loans, commercial mortgage-backed securities, CMBS master servicing, participation and syndication structures, loan modifications, and mezzanine financing. She also regularly advises clients in general corporate and business matters.

Representative Matters
- Representation of a commercial bank as local Washington counsel in the origination of more than $600 million worth of construction and permanent mortgage loans. Provided general advice on real estate finance law in Washington, including reviewing loan documents, negotiating Washington state specific real estate documentation, reviewing and obtaining Washington state specific title insurance, and reviewing and negotiating legal opinions.
- Representation of a commercial bank in the origination of a $190 million mortgage loan secured by office and industrial buildings. This transaction included both a term loan and line of credit facilities, and involved the negotiation of subordination documentation with a large tech company.
- Representation of a commercial bank in the origination of a series of construction loans secured by multifamily and mixed-use properties, with a cumulative value of $100 million. This series of transactions involved detailed due diligence of the real estate and extensive negotiations with the title company.
