Lukas Lasher is an associate in the firm’s Business and Transactions Department, where he focuses on mergers and acquisitions. Lukas worked on a range of transactional matters as a former summer associate at Ballard Spahr, where he researched and helped draft asset purchase agreements, short-form merger agreements, loan agreements, and organizational consent documents for newly acquired corporations. Also at Ballard Spahr, Lukas helped compile and organize client data and information to enhance matter management for pending lawsuits and other deadlines and obligations, and analyzed organizational documents of potential M&A target companies.
During a prior law firm summer internship in Texas, Lukas researched and helped draft bylaws, single-member LLC agreements, and other contracts, as well as organizational consent documents for newly acquired corporations. In addition, he reviewed and analyzed management equity program documents and protective covenants.
Lukas gained additional experience as a legal intern for the University of Illinois’ Division of Intercollegiate Athletics. In the role, Lukas researched, analyzed, and reported on name, image, and likeness (NIL) laws in several states, drafted changes to the Illinois NIL law, and reviewed athletic coaching contracts for the University of Illinois and other BIG 10 programs.
