John Hegarty advises investors, lenders, developers, purchasers, and sellers of commercial real estate. He also assists clients with the drafting and negotiation of lease agreements, development agreements, and financing agreements. John also has significant experience assisting small business in general business planning, commercial transactions, and dispute resolution.
John’s energy practice includes representation of large landowners, developers, investors, and lenders in energy generation and transmission projects, which includes solar, wind, biomass, geothermal, and other types of renewable energy facilities. These projects often involve site control issues, ground leasing agreements, transmission and access easements, co-tenancy arrangements, title insurance issues, and related aspects of site control.
Prior to his career in the legal industry, John was a commercial banker at UMB Bank Colorado and an oil and gas landman for High West Resources, Ltd.
