Greg Fox represents lenders, agents, purchasers and contract counterparties in restructuring and insolvency matters, and in all aspects of structuring, documenting, and collecting secured loans. His experience includes out of court restructurings, complex Chapter 11 and 15 proceedings, state court receiverships, foreclosures and Article 9 dispositions, and related state and federal litigation. He handles cash collateral proceedings, DIP financings, asset sales, automatic stay litigation, priority disputes, avoidance litigation, and plan litigation. Greg’s extensive experience in commercial transactions, work-outs, and general representation of financial institutions and other secured creditors provides him with valuable insight in dealing with the myriad of issues that arise in commercial lending, distressed real estate, bank operations, and defaulted debt.

Greg is actively involved in the commercial finance field. He serves as the chair of the UCC Committee of the Washington State Bar Association’s Business Law Section and the co-chair of the ABA Business Law Section’s Joint Task Force on Security Interests in LLC and Partnership Interests. He is an elected member of the America College of Commercial Finance Lawyers and the American Law Institute, and is individually ranked in Chambers USA for his work in Bankruptcy/Restructuring Law.

  • Representation of special servicer in Chapter 11 bankruptcy involving $18 million secured real estate loan and unsecured guaranty.
  • Representation of distressed debt purchaser in Chapter 11 bankruptcy involving 800+ bed private student housing property.
  • Representation of financial institution in Chapter 11 bankruptcies of seafood processor and wholesaler borrowers.
