
Justin Chay focuses on trademark, copyright, and internet matters. He has extensive experience handling domain name disputes and online infringement.
Justin has counseled clients ranging from individual entrepreneurs to publicly traded multinational corporations, including across automotive, consumer goods, entertainment, financial services, medical, and technology industries. He assisted clients with trademark clearance, portfolio management, and trademark and copyright enforcement, including infringement investigations and takedowns on social media and e-commerce platforms. Justin also represented clients in numerous trademark oppositions and cancelations before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) and domain name disputes under the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP) before the National Arbitration Forum and the World Intellectual Property Organization.
Before joining Ballard Spahr, Justin worked in private practice in Washington, D.C., and as a legal case manager in Geneva, Switzerland, where he managed hundreds of domain name dispute proceedings.
