2025 First Amendment Award Recipients: Charles D. Tobin

Chuck Tobin, partner at Ballard Spahr and practice leader of the firm's Media and Entertainment Law Group, was recognized by the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) as a 2025 First Amendment Award Recipient. This award honors individuals and organizations that exemplify responsible journalism and practice their constitutionally guaranteed duty to seek and report the truth.

“Chuck Tobin has dedicated his life’s work to defending and protecting journalists and journalism, ensuring a vibrant future for both,” said the RTDNA Foundation. “He continues to lead the charge for press access and press freedoms, a fight that is as important now as it has ever been.
