U.S. Banks Could Face Rules Protecting Fossil Fuel Clients

Alan Kaplinsky, senior counsel at Ballard Spahr and former practice leader of the firm's Consumer Financial Services Group, is quoted in an article by The Banker that examines how the Trump administration will affect "fair access" rulemaking for United States banks.
“Banks don’t like to have the government mandating what industries they need to provide credit to,” Alan said.
He also discussed the issue in last week's episode of the Consumer Finance Monitor Podcast, "The Impact of the Election on the CFPB: What to Expect on Key Regulatory Issues During Trump 2.0."
