NYC Bar Urges Congress to Place Ethics Rules on High Court

In a report released earlier this week, the New York City Bar Association asked for Congress to enact enforceable ethics rules that U.S. Supreme Court Justices must follow and made its desire for reform clear. The report, which was created with the help of Ballard Spahr Senior Counsel David A. Schulz and Litigation Associate Anna O. Kaul, endorses the creation of a Judicial Investigation Panel of five federal judges and an Office of the Inspector General for the Supreme Court run by a Chief Justice-appointed inspector general. Law360 examined the report in detail.
