Ballard Spahr Special Counsel Edward G. Rendell—former Governor of Pennsylvania and Mayor of Philadelphia—has been named to The Bond Buyer’s Hall of Fame Class of 2024. The award honors those who have dedicated their lives to achieving extensive, influential work in municipal finance.
Gov. Rendell, a member of Ballard Spahr’s Infrastructure practice, was partner at the firm from 2000 until 2003, when he was elected governor. He previously had served two terms as mayor of Philadelphia and as district attorney. Considered a leading pioneer of bond financing for public projects, Gov. Rendell has spent his career advocating for the improvement and advancement of U.S. infrastructure at all levels of government.
Hall of Fame honorees are selected by a panel of The Bond Buyer’s editorial leadership and a diverse group of municipal finance leaders. Gov. Rendell and fellow Hall of Fame inductees will be honored at an awards dinner September 18 during The Bond Buyer’s Infrastructure Conference.
