RealPage Lawsuit Opens a New Antitrust Front for Pricing Algorithms

Does RealPage, a software program that pools information from apartment managers, raise antitrust concerns by allowing those companies to coordinate pricing? To look into the issue, LegalDive turned to Edward D. Rogers, who commented on what regulators find problematic about RealPage.
“It’s the idea that I’m sharing with you data that it is not in my economic interest to share with you, unless we have a deal,” Ed noted.
