PA Nursing Homes Convicted for Fraud, Workers Acquitted

The corporate parents of two Pennsylvania nursing homes were recently found guilty of scheming to defraud state and federal health care programs by inflating staffing levels and their patients' needs. However, Comprehensive Healthcare Management Services LLC CEO Sam Halper and employees Susan Gilbert, Johnna Haller, Eva Hamilton, and Michelle Romeo were found not guilty of any of the 14 charges in the government's indictment.
