Experts Laud Affordable Housing Credits in Tax Proposal

Angela Christy, a partner in Ballard Spahr's Real Estate Department and Affordable Housing and Community Development practice, talked with Law360 about a proposal to expand the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program, the nation's largest affordable housing subsidy. By reducing the percentage of construction costs required to be financed by a limited number of state private activity bonds, more projects would qualify for the federal tax credit, and “you’re going to generate more low-income housing,” Ms. Christy stated.
