Landlords Saw WeWork Bankruptcy Coming

WeWork, the coworking firm that once looked like it would revolutionize how office space is leased, has filed for bankruptcy. Laurel D. Roglen spoke to Law360 about how commercial bankruptcies like WeWork's, where leases are involved, often play out.
"Typically, we don't see the lenders as a direct party to negotiations between the landlord and the tenant, but it certainly informs those negotiations and what a landlord is able to agree to," she said.
