Ballard Spahr Names David Armstrong Phoenix Office Managing Partner

David J. Armstrong—a partner with Ballard Spahr’s Environment and Natural Resource Group—has been named Managing Partner of the firm’s Phoenix office.

Mr. Armstrong, a member of the firm's Expanded Board, advises clients nationally on environmental issues involved in corporate and real estate transactions and on regulatory compliance matters. He also litigates environmental matters for industrial, manufacturing, and commercial clients across the country. He is a leader both personally and professionally—earning leading lawyer status in environmental law from Chambers USA and Best Lawyers. He also is a member and past Board Chairman of the Arizona Food Bank Network.

Mr. Armstrong succeeds Stephen M. Savage as Managing Partner. Mr. Savage is one of the founding partners of Ballard Spahr’s Phoenix office and will continue to serve as Senior Counsel with the firm.
