Bloomberg Law turned to Peter Hardy, a member of Ballard Spahr's Litigation Department, for clarity on the Corporate Transparency Act, which became law in January 2021 and requires companies with 20 or fewer employees and $5 million or less in annual sales to report ownership information to the Treasury Department.
