The Afghanistan Papers wins IRE FOI Award

It took Washington Post reporter Craig Whitlock three years of wrestling with the federal government to get the information he needed for his project, “The Afghanistan Papers: A Secret History of the War.” Chuck Tobin, Matthew Kelley, and Max Mishkin, members of Ballard Spahr's Media and Entertainment Law Group, represented Whitlock during his fight, and the project recently won the Investigative Reporters & Editors’ Freedom Of Information Award.
