Ballard Spahr Represents ClearDB in Acquisition by RDX

Ballard Spahr represented database-as-a-service (DBaaS) provider ClearDB in its acquisition by RDX, one of the largest independent providers of managed database and cloud services.

Based in Pittsburgh, RDX provides database infrastructure, data management, and cloud services. The acquisition of Plano, Texas-based ClearDB is a significant step in RDX's progress toward becoming a single source for clients interested in managed services applied on-site, via the cloud, or a combination of the two. ClearDB's DBaaS capabilities will bolster its value proposition and expand its portfolio of offerings.

The Ballard Spahr team was led by Nathan E. Seiler, managing partner of the firm's Boulder office. It included Partner Steven W.
