From the Editor: For Two Phoenix Attorneys, 'Bipartisan' Has a Whole New Meaning

Former assistant U.S. Attorney for the Justice Department in Phoenix, Roy Herrera, joined Ballard Spahr as of counsel. Mr. Herrera is joined by associate Daniel Arellano in the firm's Phoenix office.
Mr. Herrera will sit just down the hall from Ballard Spahr partner Joe Kanefield. Although many of Mr. Herrera's clients are Democrats and many of Mr. Kanefield's clients are Republicans, of their differing political views, Mr. Herrera said, "I think our combination is recognition of the changing political power in the state of Arizona, and by 2020, with what we're seeing with the Republicans and Democrats, we could end up a swing state."
