Post-Election Webinar - The Impact on the Banking and Consumer Financial Services Industry

On November 5, 2024, a new president will be elected. While the outcome of the election remains uncertain, we do know that, regardless of who wins the presidency or which party controls the House and Senate, change is inevitable. Join lawyers from Ballard's Consumer Financial Services Group and special guests Ian Katz, Managing Director, Capital Alpha Partners and Sam Whitfield, Senior Vice President, Head of Congressional Affairs, Consumer Bankers Association. After discussing the election results, we will focus on the following issues, among others:

• What legislative bills are expected to gain traction in 2025? 

• Will there be leadership changes at agencies that impact the industry?

• What will be the impact on the regulatory agenda at the CFPB, FTC, federal banking agencies, HUD, ED, and other federal executive agencies?

• What is likely to happen during the lame duck session?
