Force Majeure and COVID-19
Share
Ballard Spahr’s COVID-19 Working Group will address force majeure provisions in contracts and the implications of such provisions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The webinar will include an overview of force majeure provisions, as well as best practices for assessing and responding to these provisions.
We will address ways in which force majeure provisions are drafted and interpreted by the courts, and how these provisions can affect contract parties (including parties to leases, construction contracts and financing agreements) with respect to the pandemic. We will also address key steps to be taken now to anticipate and respond to force majeure issues in existing contracts and negotiate and draft these provisions going forward.
