The Amendments to the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL) Annex VI (Annex VI Amendments) became effective on November 1,
2022. The Annex VI Amendments were developed by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Member States in their endeavor to implement the Strategy on Reduction of Green House Gas Emissions from Ships.
