Corporate Transparency Act: It's Time for Estate Planners to Start Paying Attention

No matter how far we stick our heads in the sand, we need to be prepared when the Corporate Transparency Act goes into effect on January 1st, 2024. Starting on this date, many U.S. legal entities and foreign entities registered to do business in the United States will be required to report information about themselves, their beneficial owners, and their company applicants with the U.S. Treasury's Financial Crimes and Enforcement Network (FinCen).
