Henry Longley is a litigator who focuses on securities, mergers and acquisitions, and shareholder derivative cases. Henry has experience litigating in state and federal courts across the country and uses his professional background in financial services and regulatory compliance to benefit clients, including financial institutions, other institutional investors, and corporate entities.
After working in private practice and before joining Ballard Spahr, Henry served as a law clerk for Justice Gary F. Traynor of the Delaware Supreme Court. In that role, he reviewed appellate briefs and trial court records, conducted legal research, prepared bench memoranda, and assisted in drafting opinions and orders.
Before entering the legal profession, Henry worked for five years at a Fortune 500 bank, where he executed compliance and governance initiatives while attending law school at night. His responsibilities at the bank included working with business partners to build and enhance essential compliance management and transaction testing programs.
