Morgan Hicks is a Finance associate who focuses his practice on real estate finance matters. He regularly represents regional and national banks, private lenders, and commercial borrowers, providing strategic guidance on a wide range of finance matters, including loan originations and modifications, acquisition lending, construction lending, commercial and industrial lending, refinancings, syndications, and participations. His experience spans multiple industries, including multifamily, hospitality, commercial, residential, industrial, health care, and energy.
Morgan brings extensive experience in drafting and negotiating loan documents, reviewing related due diligence, and managing all aspects of the closing process. Before joining Ballard Spahr, he gained extensive experience at a full-service business law firm, where he handled a wide array of finance matters. Morgan’s practical approach and deep understanding of the lending landscape allow him to effectively guide clients through complex transactions and help them achieve their financial and business goals.
While attending law school, Morgan gained additional experience through internships in the Consumer Protection and Revenue & Utilities Sections of the Colorado Office of the Attorney General, as well as at the United States Attorney’s Office in Denver.
