Melissa Prince serves as the firm's Chief Client Value Officer. She sits on the firm Management Committee and oversees the firm's Client Value Program, which includes a team of professionals from several different administrative departments that are focused on delivering practical value-based pricing, matter management, process improvement, knowledge management, technology and innovation strategies, and solutions designed to meet those needs. Melissa works closely with the firm's leadership team and attorneys to deliver exceptional client service centered on value, cost-effectiveness, efficiency, transparency, and predictability.

Under Melissa's leadership, the firm has received two consecutive commendations for its innovative use of technology and named one of the Most Innovative Law Firms Business of Law by the Financial Times for its pricing and matter management tools. The firm was also recently identified by BTI Consulting as an innovation "Mover and Shaker" for its high level of client service, its innovative approach to tackling client issues, and its strategic use of technology and was a finalist for the American Lawyer Industry Awards for best law firm/client team.

Before joining Ballard Spahr, Melissa held similar roles at two Am Law 25 firms. She is an attorney who, before leaving private practice, managed complex commercial litigation matters. She is a Six Sigma Green Belt, Certified Legal Project Manager, Accredited Legal Pricing Professional (ALPP), and an Accredited Legal Project Manager (ALPM).
