Eleanor Bradley Huyett focuses her practice on government enforcement defense, regulatory compliance, and complex civil litigation. Eleanor conducts internal investigations and defends clients during investigations conducted by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Department of Education, the Public Company Accounting and Oversight Board (PCAOB), the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), state attorneys general, and state administrative agencies.   • advising credit reporting furnishers during investigations relating to compliance with the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA);
  • representing public accounting firms during investigations by the SEC and PCAOB; and
  • obtaining a favorable outcome for a large bank in defending a consumer class action asserting federal Truth in Lending Act (TILA), federal Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), and RICO claims.
