Walmart has announced that it will join Lowe's in opening a store in the $65 million shopping and residential development planned for the downtown Baltimore property that previously housed the Anderson Automotive dealership. In coverage by The Baltimore Sun, Jon M. Laria, the Ballard Spahr partner working with the project's development team, joins residents and city officials in praising the retailer's decision. "It's all synergistic," Mr. Laria tells The Sun. "The power of having Lowe's and Walmart together is that they are going to allow us to attract many other tenants. It's going to help the vitality of all the other businesses that come to the project as well as existing businesses in the area."
