Michelle M. McGeogh concentrates on private sector employment law on behalf of management. Her practice involves defense of employers in actions alleging violations of Title VII, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family Medical Leave Act,the Americans with Disabilities Act, and state law equivalents. Michelle also helps clients develop employment policies relating to personnel and employment law issues.

Michelle also represents commercial landlords in state court proceedings and bankruptcy proceedings. She has broad experience pursuing tenants for non-payment of rent and successfully defending landlords from breach of contract, negligence, and fraud claims.

Michelle also represents financial institutions and special servicers of mortgage loans in disputes involving lender liability, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and foreclosure. She has success in obtaining receivers and enforcing orders appointing receivers in connection with defaulted commercial loans.

Pro Bono Experience

Michelleis dedicated to representing pro-bono clients. She negotiated a positive settlement for a client who lost a home without notice. She also represents a prisoner in connection with an excessive force case.
