Daniel B. Englander is an intellectual property and brand management attorney. Mr. Englander helps clients obtain trademark and copyright registrations and assists clients in maintaining and protecting international trademark and copyright portfolios and licensing networks. He regularly counsels clients on other trademark, trade dress, copyright, right of publicity, false advertising, licensing, and product packaging issues, including drafting and amending contracts concerning these issues. He has litigated in federal courts and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), and worked with foreign counsel on IP litigation, investigation, and enforcement actions around the world, including China, the EU, Turkey, and Canada.

As a former head of communications for a profitable online venture, Mr. Englander understands how companies can protect their brands and creative works and still productively engage with customers and fans online. He regularly counsels clients on website terms of use, takedown procedures under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, and social media guidelines. He has extensive experience counseling clients on domain name issues, including cybersquatting, Uniform Domain-Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) proceedings, and developing strategies for monitoring and registering domain names as new generic top-level domains (gTLDs) go live on the Internet.

Pro Bono Experience

Mr. Englander has secured favorable results for pro bono clients as lead trial counsel for cases in Fulton and Clayton counties in landlord-tenant disputes and domestic violence cases.
