Melanie R. Clark concentrates her practice on the development of resort properties, with an emphasis on zoning and entitlements, compliance with the Interstate Land Sales Full Disclosure Act, and development of condominiums, planned communities, timeshares, private residence clubs, and condominium hotels.

Representative Matters

  • Serves as Utah counsel to the developer of St. Regis Resort and Residences Deer Crest, a luxury condominium hotel in Deer Valley, Utah
  • Assists in the registration of timeshare and fractional products with state regulatory agencies across the country
  • Represents an international hospitality company in connection with regulatory compliance, project documentation, and licensing issues
  • Serves as special counsel for multiple local single-site developers of luxury condominium hotels
  • Serves as real estate counsel for one of Utah's largest ski resorts in connection with a variety of hotel, vacation ownership, and related hospitality issues, as well as zoning, entitlement, and traditional real estate development matters
  • Serves as counsel for a number of developers of large master-planned unit development communities, including commercial and mixed-use communities and HOPA projects for adults 55 and older
